Assalamualaikum and hi again, everyone! It's time for me to update what I have learned in the class for week 4 which is... Podcast! What is podcast? So, podcast is the combination of the words iPod + Broadcast. It is an audio or video file, similar to a radio broadcast, that can be downloaded and listened to on a computer or MP3 player.
Madam Azida has guided us to a website called Podbay.fm, which it contained millions of interesting podcast! She also asked us to listen to any podcast and give a review about it. So, I have chosen my favourite podcast from "Gals on the Go" that was being hosted by Danielle Carolan and Brooke Miccio. The topic for the podcast is Productivity: Tips, Routines and Self-Care. Why did I chose this type of podcast? It's because i found that it is close to me and I know that I can gain something good from it. Also, the podcast was only for 30 minutes. I'm afraid that I can't lend my ear for a podcast that exceed more than that. Thus, I think the duration was just nice for me 😄
Okay, so moving on to what the podcast was all about. I did get a lot of useful tips when I been listening to this podcast. Some of the useful tips was create task that you want to do daily. For example, make sure to know when you have to send email to your boss or when you need to call someone. Next, pick any days to relax yourself. One of the hosts has given an example where she said that she always choose Sunday to relax herself. She will do anything such as light up a candle while having a tea, and she found that the day can be so productive for her, which I think I want to try it later. Hehehe. Besides that, they said that we need to wake up early to start your day. Let's say, your class is at 9 a.m., so you can't wake up at 8.45 a.m., because you will not have enough time for yourself. Instead, you have to wake up at 7.45 or 8 a.m., so that you are not rushing and you can take your time to get ready for the class. Not just that, time blocking is also important! It is when you can set timer for certain task. For example, set 45 minutes to make sure your homework is done, so that you don't waste any time. Last but not least, do the toughest task first. You will feel less burden and amazing when you have done the task.
So, that were some useful and interesting tips on how to be productive every day. Besides all the tips, I would like to give my review on how the hosts conducted their podcast. Personally, I like the way they conducted the podcast. Both of them gave each other the time for them to give the tips. Also, they just interrupted when needed, so that the podcast will be smooth and ease to be listened.
And... I think that is all for now. Till next post, bye guys! Assalamualaikum 💓
